Its annual childcare survey reveals a 5.4 per cent increase in the typical cost of a nursery place for children under two in England since last year, bringing it up to 141 per week.
The average cost of a nursery place for three- and four-year-olds has also increased and now stands at 132.
Costs have increased most sharply in London and the South East, already the most expensive parts of the country.
The trust will publish figures for Scotland and Wales for the first time in the survey, officially released tomorrow (Thursday).
Maggy Meade-King, spokeswoman for parent support charity Working Families, said the increase was not unexpected, but highlighted the need for the Government to take swift action to tackle affordability.
