Funded by the Baring Foundation and designed to reward local projects that help build bridges between communities and cultures, they are open to large and small voluntary organisations. Each entrant can apply for two of the four award categories. Winning organisations get £10,000 while three commended entries in each category receive up to £5,000 each. Voluntary organisations linked to schools, such as Parent Teacher Associations or out-of-school clubs set up as charities, are eligible. Applications should be made via the awards website. Deadline for applications is 14 September.
