What happens there? Carousel Children's Centre provides a broad range of services for children of all ages and their families. Childcare rooms are available for under-fives, as well as a static bus outside to encourage free play. There is a range of after-school clubs and holiday play schemes for children aged from five right up to 14. And a youth service provides opportunities to take part in positive activities or improve education. Groups for teenage parents are also run from the centre.
Why? The centre is intended to be a one-stop shop for families with children of all ages, but also provides continuity for young children who are integrated into the community at an early age and supported throughout childhood and adolescence.
