Bullying: Bolton scheme to expand age range

The Bully Free Zone had previously been solely funded by Connexions to the tune of 41,000 but was limited to work with 13- to 19-year-olds, despite half of its calls coming from young people outside that group.

The 78,000 Children in Need grant, which will last for three years, will allow the project to work with young people from the age of five upwards. Nicola Schofield, manager of the service, said: "A lot of bullying occurs at the ages of 11 and 12."
