6 mins read
As Anti-Bullying Week approaches, four young journalists from Children's Express talk to the Anti-Bullying Alliance and look at projects that are succeeding in helping children stop the bullies once and for all.

According to children's charity ChildLine, bullying has hit recordlevels. More than 36,000 young people rang the charity's helplinebetween April 2005 and March 2006, compared with 32,500 the previousyear.

Since it's such a big issue, we decided to see what support services areout there to help young people who are being bullied. We also wanted tofind out what works when it comes to tackling bullying and what youngpeople think we can do to stop it.

We wanted to find a range of projects and schemes across the UK so westarted out by interviewing Simon Blake from the Anti-BullyingAlliance.

The alliance runs AntiBullying Week, which runs from 20 to 24 November, and Simon told us about some projects it runs in London that areparticularly successful in helping young people.
