If I was Prime Minister, my first step would be to control immigration. While I think immigration is a wonderful thing - after all, it effectively allowed me to be here - it's gotten out of hand.

I would create a board to check every individual case. It would be a case of supply and demand - if the country needed doctors, I'd allow foreign doctors and so on. And of course the board would have sympathy for asylum seekers.

I'd create some kind of law to help doctors, policemen and firemen to be paid more and simultaneously lower film stars' and footballers' pay. I don't see why a man running up and down a pitch for 90 minutes gets paid more than a person who saves a life from a fire or from a tumour - but I guess someone, somewhere does.
