Yes, the report does focus on adults with mental health problems, but it also looks at the needs of their families.
And what do they consider mental health problems? It can range from severe mental illness like schizophrenia, to more common problems like depression or alcohol and drug dependency. One in 10 new mothers suffers from post-natal depression which - if prolonged - can lead to attachment disorder, which can have an adverse effect on the child's cognitive development.
All in all, mental illness may affect one in four of us sometime during our lives.
