Of course, but to me a healthy diet is a happy diet. Chocolate is good for you. And how do they convince you that you need that particular brand of chocolate? Is it the advertising, the attractiveness of the packaging, the promise of a holiday in Greece if you send off the wrapper, or the fact that it's available just as you're queueing at the check-out?

The Food Standards Agency has issued a consultation on food promotion based on two hypotheses: that promotional activity does influence children's eating habits, and that it has become more difficult for children to achieve a healthy balanced diet. One way to address and improve eating habits is to tackle the way that foods are promoted to children. So the agency has devised an action plan.
