I can't believe it - paying young people to go to school or college.

Well, is the Education Maintenance Allowance such a bad idea if it works?

But people should want to learn for the love of learning. You idealist.

There's learning because something catches your imagination and you feel the need to know more. And there's learning to achieve a certain level of knowledge towards gaining a certificate. And that piece of paper gives you a better chance of getting a job that lets you exercise your brain power as well as other skills.
