BEST THING I EVER DID: Triona Allan

1 min read

My friends and I received a Chase Millennium Award earlier this year for our work in setting up an information web site for young Travellers. Although I am a housed Traveller, I have suffered discrimination, so the site is intended to raise awareness of prejudice against travelling people. We wanted to talk about the different types of Travellers, and show that we are no different from other people. I became involved through Save the Children, and we each received a 1,500 grant from Chase. Four of us were given laptops and one a digital camera, which we used to create the site. We plan to add a message board soon. www.comelookatus.org
