My mum sent me on The Prince's Trust's Sound Live course after hearing about it on the radio. I'd been a guitarist for 10 years but done nothing about it. It was nice to get to play with other people, which I had never done before. It really helped my confidence as a musician.
On the course, I got talking to a sound technician and that encouraged me to go to college to do a music technology diploma. I'm now in a band, Minnikin, and I also got to meet loads of celebrities at the trust's Fashion Rocks event a few weeks ago. It's completely changed my life: before doing the Sound Live course I had been out of work for a year and had no qualifications.
