Best thing I ever did: Lucy Watts, 18, Birmingham

The gap year involves going out to young people around the country and spreading the word about why poverty exists and what we can actually do about it.

We went to visit Nicaragua, which is a developing country in Central America, to find out how Christian Aid partners are helping the people there. It was an incredible experience. I'm so impassioned to do something about the way poor people live. I've learned so much this year and met some amazing people.
