The ProjectScotland co-ordinators listened to my likes and dislikes and matched me up with the perfect placement at Impact Arts, a really worthwhile community arts programme aimed at young people and adults with disabilities.
Being a keen musician, I was responsible for teaching kids all about beats and rhythms.
This was only a three-month placement, but I can't stress enough how good this experience has been. Ultimately, it has made me feel interested and excited about life again.
I've been offered a permanent job with Impact Arts, which I'm so pleased about, as it's the first time in a long time that I've felt truly valued.
