Based in New York, he has cult status due not only to his magic skillsbut his attitude towards the children for whom he performs. He has beendescribed as "sour" and "nasty", but parents apparently think it's funnyto have their children berated.
Anyway, recently we took a group of children to London. It was the firsttime, for most, and they were really excited. The street entertainers inCovent Garden proved a hit, particularly those who stay statuestill.
I had to stop one of our girls prodding some poor bloke, who bore itwith good grace and humour.
