A few months ago I wrote about a group meeting, where new members werebeing welcomed. It had gone well until a lad turned up and was beratedby one of our girls, for calling her family names.
Annie is a girl who is terrified of men. "It's to do with my past," shesays. And he's a boy who has hellish problems at school - he is bulliedand often singled out for punishment. But he can't half give it out aswell, which is one of the reasons cited for other children giving himgrief. Not a happy lad.
When he comes to our groups he doesn't say much but always comesback.
