I love listening to Roger Morgan, Children's Rights Director for theCommission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). He talks sense and best ofall, what he tells us is based on what children and young people havesaid about being in care and related issues.
CSCI publications are an excellent read too, and often contain factsthat can add a bit of welly when trying to resolve issues. I heardMorgan talk recently about multiple placements and the need to createand maintain stability for looked after children.
I felt inspired hearing this, as I have been working with a young manwho has had 25 moves over five years. He has been labelled"unfosterable" by both social services and the fostering provider he isplaced with, and is now fighting proposals to have him moved to a localauthority residential unit.
