Many years ago I worked in a scrap store. Have you ever been to one? They are fabulous places; Aladdin's caves full of excess materialsdonated by industry. The point? To make waste things play things.Children's organisations pay an annual fee and then come and collect allmanner of stuff that can be recreated into fun items.
They're environmentally sound too. When you consider the amount ofreusable materials that industry throws away each year, such as card, fabric, and sequin cut offs, you can see the logic in it. Why go out andspend hard-earned funds on new stuff when you can get it all for penniesand help the environment at the same time?
