It has been a long time since I was first employed as a playworker.
Those were the days of playdough, sandpits, painting, and glueing. The world has altered dramatically for children and young people since then but recently I was reminded that some things just don't change.
With it being half-term, we decided to organise a lunchtime event for foster carers, their families and the children they look after.
I had left the planning to our playworker and on the day itself panicked as I felt we needed more activities - children get bored so easily. So we grabbed what we could, organised some games and set forth to entertain the masses.
