The whole issue of bullying is back in the spotlight. The secondAnti-Bullying Week is coming up and we're chuffed to be a part ofit.
It's so good to see so much going on nationally, and we have made ourown plans for the week.
We know that looked-after children are more likely to be bullied atschool.
They can also suffer bullying while in care so, as part of our work,we'll be looking at developing a charter for the service. Our childrenhave got some really creative ideas and we're looking forward to gettingstuck in.
However, we need to be careful to practice what we preach. Bullyingdoesn't just happen among children. I recently heard a conferencespeaker talk about bullying in the workplace. "We can't tell childrennot to bully if we ourselves work in a bullying environment," he said. Iwas so relieved to hear someone acknowledge this.
