"I think that if parents didn't let their children drink at all at home they would become curious about alcohol and would try to get some of it as soon as possible," said Alice, 14, from Oldham. Bethany, 10, from Chichester, added: "It is a health risk, but if you drink small amounts it isn't as bad. My mum sometimes lets me have a tiny swig of her beer but even then that's less than once a month, so surely that should be okay."
Others were opposed to young people drinking alcohol. "Kids should NOT be allowed to drink alcohol. Even if they're older than 15," wrote Jordon, 13, from the US. "It's very, very dangerous for their health and can make them do crazy things. So my advice is to stay away from it."
