This week it is a construction worker who was attacked by teenagersafter remonstrating with them. He was looking for compensatory dosh fromthe Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. His claim wasrejected.

An official told him that being verbally abusive towards the lad wholater attacked him was an important factor in the incident.

The Daily Telegraph reported that he had said: "Can't you see it saysthere's supposed to be no f***ing ball games here? Are you f***ingthick?"

The complainant was not happy: "Swearing is the yobs' first language andit was the only way I was going to get through to them."
