Wrong. It is about serious crimes. Some are shocking, carried out byvery dangerous people. They had been released from prison, where theyhad been serving sentences for previous serious crimes includingrape.
Anthony Rice, one of those dubbed a "yob", actually turned out to be amurderer. He is 48.
Perhaps this explains why the public is so alarmed by yobs. The word hasbecome so overused that it describes almost anything, from a nuisance tothe worst of crimes.
- A Liberal Democrat MP, Greg Mulholland, is not happy about the ChildTrust Fund. He thinks it is a waste of money and he'd rather it wasspent on recruiting 21,000 more teachers. That, he says, would cutinfant class sizes from a maximum of 30 to an average of 20.
