"A senior police officer has backed Plymouth's newest dispersal order, aimed at tackling young yobs who cause trouble in the east of the city," reports The Plymouth Herald.

Inspector Gary Neeves goes on to explain that the order will give policeextra powers to move on "groups of two or more people who are acting inan anti-social manner, or whom we believe will act in an anti-socialmanner".

Aha - so those extra powers include a sixth sense.

Dispersal orders are controversial as they can be used against youngpeople who are just hanging about. Yet few local papers take the troubleto look at the other side of the argument. The Plymouth Herald alsoseems to be following the trend of only ever applying the much over-usedword "yob" to the young, another common mistake.

- The Western Mail has discovered "more and more families" in Wales arecreating downstairs bedrooms or fitting stairlifts for obesechildren.
