A major area of my work is developing a children and young person's strategic partnership: joining up services areas such as health, education, social care, cultural services, police and Connexions. I lead and co-ordinate our identification, referral and tracking (IRT) Trailblazer programme jointly with Shropshire and play a key role in developing government initiatives.
What's a typical day? In the morning I might action yesterday's emails with an inspiring mug of tea, which is essential. Then I'll meet service managers and then have a business managers' team meeting.
After lunch I'll have a meeting on the Trailblazer programme or a meeting with social sare and primary care trust on strategic children and young person's partnership board and young people's forum. Later I'll take home reading and reports.
