Why is On-It needed? Our philosophy is to access young people early on in their drug-taking career and provide them with support and information.
We create a care plan with the young person and our sessions stem from that care plan. Often, we work with young people who are concerned about a parent or friend.
How do you reach them? Because of our links with the drug education team, we're geared towards schools, but also take referrals from young people themselves, as well as from youth clubs, parents, GPs and social services.
We aim to be as flexible as possible. But the young person has to want to come to us.
