Back Page: And this is what I do - Lisa Jones, programmedevelopment officer, DrugScope, Southwark

I make sure we have accurate and responsible answers to policy questions, which are looked at by other key people internally and externally.

What's a typical day? I answer drug treatment queries from workers on issues such as parents who are substance abusers and child protection.

I provide information about residential contacts or answer questions on drug testing in schools and I also help develop protocols and policies around this.

Who do you work with? I link up with professionals in drug treatment centres, Government organisations, the national treatment agency, drug action teams, the Department for Education and Skills and other organisations and youth groups. I also administer the national young people drug treatment workers' forum, which has 4,000 members who meet three times a year.
