VO!CE, the magazine I co-ordinate, is written, designed and edited by young people for young people. It was developed in response to a consultation with young people who wanted a magazine of their own with minimal adult interference. The group meets and decides its own agenda and production schedule. The next issue will have a crime theme.
How did you get the job? My background is in leisure development and I did a degree in communication studies at Edge Hill College, Lancashire. This role was created two years ago for me. Before that, I was a leisure officer for four years.
