Back Page: And this is what I do - Clare Aspinall, sexual healthdevelopment officer, Knowsley Council

1 min read

What did you do before taking on this job? I was a young women's youth worker supporting young women who had been in abusive relationships.

What attracted you to youth work? The main reason for getting into youth work was my own experience as a young person and being influenced by youth workers myself. I came through the ranks, starting as a young person, then a volunteer, then studying to be a youth worker.

Where do you work? I do both detached and centre-based support. We have a number of youth advice shops like Brook. I also support mentors and staff in schools.
