We offer these services to all, but the trust has a special interest in working with young people who are at risk from a life of crime, alcohol, drugs and solvent abuse. We encourage people to rebuild lives through positive deeds and thoughts.

What does a typical day entail? In the past month, I've taken a group on a work exchange to the US, been on camping and activity trips and continued the day-to-day work with young people. Changes to a planned day are common.

How did you get the job? For a long time I was a part-time youth worker in Manchester, also working as an industrial chemist, when I made the decision to change my full-time career. I saw a job advertised at the farm and I relocated to South Wales in 2001.
