What does your role involve? Organising meetings for members of the youth parliament (MYPs) and other young people, spreading awareness of the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) and building on networks that exist through youth councils and other groups to ensure we're more inclusive in the London region.
We also run projects on specific issues, such as stop and search and youth culture. I'm there to help the MYPs achieve their aims.
How did you get into this? I was the first young person involved in the steering committee for establishing the UKYP in October 1997. The MP Andrew Rowe came to a youth club in Maidstone I attended and spoke to a youth worker about launching a steering group.
