Ask the Expert: Writing a bid for resources

1 min read

I need to write a bid for some resources. Where do I begin?

First of all, well done for taking the initiative to find out about sources of funding. That often takes considerable detective work. But you must pay attention to detail.

Check that you meet the funding criteria. When preparing to write the bid, make sure you enter all the information correctly. It’s surprising how many bids have incorrect phone numbers and lack postcodes. “Less is more” when you write a bid, so keep it simple. Be clear about why you are applying and demonstrate with examples how the money will help.
