Theatre Pathways, a project launched today by community theatre company Immediate Theatre, aims to boost Black and minority ethnic (BME) young people's chances of securing jobs such as theatre management and administration.
The London Development Agency has provided 100,000 a year for three years to fund the initiative for 450 young people aged 16 to 25.
Jo Carter, artistic director at Immediate Theatre, said: "There is under-representation of BME people in theatre."
