Arts: Grime musical to make stage bow

Youth Work
A group of young people from east London are staging a musical next month about the realities of growing up in the capital.

CocoButta: A Grime Musical is loosely based on the film Grease but is set in east London and includes grime tunes, a genre of music that fuses influences from UK garage, drum 'n' bass and hip-hop.

The show will feature MC-ing and dance and will tackle issues such as teenage pregnancy and drug and alcohol misuse.

The production will be staged on 25 and 26 July by Immediate Theatre.
