1 min read

Arts Council England plans to launch the Arts Award next month, after a successful pilot between January and March this year. Organisations involved in the pilot included film company Mouth That Roars and dance company Clean North.

Diana Walton, head of Arts Award at Arts Council England, said: "It's the first award scheme that recognises young people's achievements through the arts."

The scheme will run in youth services, schools, voluntary sector groups and arts organisations. The awards, which will be accredited by Trinity College London, have three levels - bronze, silver and gold - equivalent to National Vocational Qualifications at levels one, two and three.
