Art done with care: Children's artwork competition celebrateschildcare

Children got a competition celebrating National Childcare Week off to a colourful start with a workshop at the London International Gallery of Children's Art last week. The competition, which urges children to show how they feel about their childcare, will help launch the week, which runs from 11 to 15 June. The theme will be "Childcare Benefits for Life". Children can enter under one of three age ranges - under-sevens, seven- to nine-year-olds, and children aged 10 or older. The closing date is 18 May and prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony in central London during National Childcare Week. Email nationalchildcareweek@daycaretrust.org.uk for more details.
