The Marlborough Family Education Service has been using the monitors on watches so children can see when they are becoming angry.
The Hearts on their Sleeves scheme sees staff from the central London child and adolescent mental health service work with children and parents to talk through problems. When the child's heart rate increases, which can be an early indicator of anger, the watch will beep.
Claire Powell, who works on the project, said: "When it starts beeping someone can say to them: 'What are you going to do to stop it beeping?'"
The course, which is available to schools in Westminster, helps teach young people deep breathing techniques and exercises to help them find their own ways of relaxing.
