
The West London Tri-borough Youth Offending Service came into being in January 2012 with the merger of services of Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea, headed by a single strategic lead manager.
A report by the Probation Inspectorate found that positive work was taking place although some areas of concern were noted.
“Overall, we consider this a very encouraging set of findings, particularly as the work took place during the amalgamation,” Liz Calderbank, HM Chief Inspector of Probation said.
“As might be expected there were some differences in service provision across the three boroughs, however we believe there is a sound base from which to launch the new tri-borough youth offending service.”
