Skills council launches Apprenticeship review

Careers Early Years
The sector skills council for work with children and young people has launched research on early years Apprenticeships.

The Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) is gathering views on the effectiveness of the Children's Care, Learning and Development Apprenticeship Framework.

The framework applies to young people doing Apprenticeships in Sure Start centres and other types of early years provision. The council wants to know if employers feel it gives future staff the right skills and knowledge.

Jane Roe, national development manager for standards and qualifications at CWDC, said: "The review will help to shape the future of the framework. We believe that it will have positive outcomes for all who use it."

The consultation runs until 31 January, and responses can be submitted at www.cwdcouncil.org.uk
