The apprenticeship scheme, called Step22, has been launched as the hospitality sector recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic and pubs, hotels, bars and restaurants begin to open their doors to customers in the coming months.
It has also been launched amid fears of long term unemployment among young people amid the pandemic.
Official figures show that more than half of those who lost their jobs during the pandemic are under the age of 25.
Up to 48 young people will be offered a place on the scheme, which includes customer service training, English and maths lessons, advice on applying for jobs and the interview process.
