Scottish nursery rated unsatisfactory in all areas

1 min read Early Years
A nursery in Scotland has been given the worst possible rating by government inspectors.

An inspection report by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education and the Care Commission marked Croftbank Nursery in Kinross as unsatisfactory in all five areas of inspection.

Part of the Careshare chain, the nursery was particularly criticised for its approach to education. The report referred to low expectations of children, insufficient resources and opportunities for children to learn though play, and a lack of regard for national guidelines.

Other areas earmarked for requiring immediate improvement included respect for children and hygiene levels.
