Busy Bees nursery group sold to Singapore firm

Early Years
One of Britain's largest nursery groups, Busy Bees, has been sold to Singapore-based education firm Knowledge Universe Education.

The nursery chain, with over 130 settings in the UK, was previously owned by Australian childcare group ABC, which officially entered voluntary administration earlier this month.

Although Knowledge Universe is now the majority shareholder, Busy Bees confirmed that its original founders have also bought back a share in the nursery group.

Further details of the sale have not been disclosed although Busy Bees confirmed that operation of the company will remain in the hands of the existing management team.
