The deal sees Busy Bees and its 40-plus UK nurseries become part of theantipodean childcare chain ABC Learning Centres.
John Woodward, co-founder of Busy Bees, said: "There are huge benefitsin being part of an international organisation. The benefits are not inthe form of economies of scale as in some industries, but in the sharingof expertise and the fostering of best practice. It's about makingeverything of the best quality possible - this is not a volumegame."
Woodward, who is staying on as group managing director, says that whilemany nurseries are struggling to stay in business, the firm he founded23 years ago is in a good position.
