National Connexions Network launched

The new membership body for Connexions workers has been officially launched.

The National Connexions Network (NCN) will be led jointly by Steve Hoy, chief executive of Connexions Cheshire and Warrington, and Andrew Simmons, chief executive of Connexions Hertfordshire.

The launch event, which was held in Windsor on 31 March, will include a keynote address by John Freeman, director of React, the Local Government Association's 14-19 support programme.

Andrew McCully, a Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) official, will give NCN members a presentation on information, advice and guidance.

Guests to the event will also be able to take part in a number of workshops, delivered by organisations including the DCSF and the Children's Workforce Development Council.
