Marcia Twelftree, former headteacher of Charters School in Windsor, was made a Dame for services to local and national education. Twelftree helped Charters gain an outstanding Ofsted inspection as headteacher and currently manages a team of external secondary headteacher advisors who promote secondary school improvement.
Eileen Quick, lead member for children services at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, said: "During her years as headteacher at Charters Marcia was passionate about ensuring her students were given every opportunity to achieve and her contribution to education in the borough has left a lasting and positive legacy."
