From 1 April 2011, there will no longer be a CWDC contact in each region. Staff will either be redeployed to other areas of the business or made redundant through a voluntary exit scheme.
A total of 11 staff are currently employed in regional roles at CWDC.
Jane Haywood, chief executive of CWDC, praised the work of her colleagues. "I believe we have achieved a lot by working in partnership over the past six years, and improved the lives of a large number of children and young people as a result, something we can all be proud of," she said.
"Our integrated working managers have been a key part of our achievement and will continue to work in the regions until 31 March. We are exploring how we can support our local employers throughout future months and we are clear that the voice of the employer will lead our work next year and from 2012 onwards."
