Susanne Rauprich, chief executive, National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS)
NCVYS's consultations show the majority of its network would support a transfer to the CWDC. The move would strengthen existing relationships with the body through a more co-ordinated approach to meeting youth workers' needs and implementing workforce reform across the sector. A move would help integrate other closely related occupations already under its remit and would mean fewer bodies for the sector to liaise with, which should lead to stronger partnership working. CWDC is already in charge of the young people's workforce development programme and in general it provides funding and research of relevance to the sector.
