Schools to pilot regular Covid-19 testing

Education settings, which may include schools and early years providers, will be among those to implement regular Covid-19 testing as an alternative to self-isolation, Boris Johnson has announced.

Revealing the government’s ‘Winter Covid plan’ which details restrictions as the second national lockdown lifts on December 2, the Prime Minister said repeated testing will be piloted in “education settings” but did not clarify which types of settings it will apply to.
