Childminders confused by government guidance

Thousands of childminders have been left confused by two conflicting government documents.

Boris Johnson’s "road-map" out of lockdown seemingly states childminders should return to work tomorrow, however, separate guidance published by the Department for Education states they should wait until 1 June.

The Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years said “huge numbers” of childminders had been in contact over the issue and that it was seeking clarification from the government.
