Under government proposals, a commission will explore the idea of a British Bill of Rights which would build on the rights in the European Convention on Human Rights, providing an opportunity to enshrine the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in UK law, according to Crae.
Crae national co-ordinator Carolyne Willow said: "British politicians must take this opportunity to fully safeguard the rights of children and protect childhood from growing inequality and social intolerance."
