Funding The foundation offers one-off payments or a series of grant payments over up to three years. A one-off grant is unlikely to exceed £15,000. Periodic grants range up to £40,000 with a maximum of £25,000 in one year.  

Funder This family trust was created in 1966 when the three brothers behind the business now known as Wates Construction Group pooled resources from their personal charitable trusts.

Aim The fund has five programme areas: building family values which includes opportunities for children and young people aged five to 25; community health; sustaining the environment; safer communities and strengthening the charitable and voluntary sectors.
